The US STEM Foundation was formed in 2011 by ago a group of parents, teachers and business leaders who sought to give students more opportunities to participate in hands-on technology-based activities. We recognize that classroom time isn’t enough to sufficiently developed students’ technical acumen and that STEM-oriented extracurricular activities were proving to be both popular and effectve. However, these activities require a nontrivial amount of coordination and, due to the materials toolsets and equipment needed, require significant investmet. The US STEM Foundation coordinates and subsidizes activities that inspire the next generation of STEM professionals leveraging programs hands-on activities, services and strategies that will engage educate develop and create responsible citizens.
